The project asks about a contemporary connection between art and craft, especially in the rural area of the Swabian Alb, where tinkerers and inventors have always been at home. How can artistic impulses inspire crafts and how can crafts benefit from art? Connected to this is the search for potentials of the Swabian Alb, which is sparsely populated and characterised by emigration and yet still offers many opportunities to attract pioneers – as Anton Geiselhart did back then.
How can a continuation of his approach be further thought out and concretely implemented in the awareness of the cultural identity of the Alb region and in the form of contemporary processes? The results will be shown in an exhibition from 7 May to 18 June at the Kulturwerkstatt BT24 in Münsingen.
