We cordially invite you to the finissage on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The exhibition is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 6 p.m. we show the process of changing drawing in space. The finissage is the last opportunity to capture the colors of the earths for the coming gray winter days and is also an opportunity to talk with Barbara Karsch-Chaïeb and the women of Raum für Pflanzen (space for plants).
Barbara Karsch- Chaïeb has been working with soil and rock pigments for over 20 years. In the Orangerie, the Stuttgart artist has applied soils from over 20 different places around the world on the floor of the exhibition space to create an overall picture that covers parts of the exhibition space. Every visitor becomes part of this installation. The earth sticks to the shoes, is carried around, redistributed and carried out. Some lines have disappeared in the time of the exhibition or can only be recognized in traces. Many new structures have been added by the footprints of the visitors.
