Future:Culture / KulturRegion Stuttgart
Location: Kulturinsel, Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt
‘It matters what matters we use to think other matters with’, there is an opportunity to get started with a workshop in the Future:Culture discussion series: on July 10, 2024 from 6 – 7 pm, Barbara Karsch-Chaïeb (kunst [ ] klima) invites us to explore the earth as a material in a land art workshop.
How can we narrate the dramatic changes we are facing in such a way that they do not frighten and paralyse us from the outset? What does the climate crisis mean for cultural administrations and possible new funding principles? How must cultural institutions change in order to operate within planetary boundaries? And is it even the role of art to get involved in the fight against the climate crisis?
We are looking forward to the keynote speech at 7 pm by Nicola Bramkamp, Artistic Director of SAVE THE WORLD, on new narratives, the freedom of art, business ecology challenges and exciting artistic perspectives.
With the ‘Zukunft:Kultur’ series, the KulturRegion Stuttgart participates in current debates that are important for shaping our future from a cultural perspective. Experts from various fields are invited to exchange views in public events at changing locations in the KulturRegion, and the audience is also given the opportunity to get involved.
Participation in the event is free of charge, registration is requested (button below)
